Atlantic Salmon Processing Machines

Pisces Fish Machinery has partnered with Denmark’s Unifood Technic to be able to offer complete processing line solution. The two companies together produce all of the necessary equipment for a complete salmon line. Unifood specializes in the pin bone, fillet washing and other salmon specific machinery while Pisces concentrates of the head cutting, gutting and filleting. Pisces FR-9000 filleting machine was introduced in 1993. Pisces continually improves its equipment and is introducing the mark IV version of the FR-9000. The FR-9000 has been successfully combine with both heading and gutting machines to produce the AHF 592.

SCALING

MU Waterjet Descaler

The MU waterjet scaler uses high pressure water to remove the scales from the fish. The waterjets are adjusted so that the scales are removed, and no damage occurs to the outside of the fish or the meat. The machine removes the scales and recycles most of the water to reduce operating costs.

HEAD CUTTING

HV-40 Collar-off Head Cutting Machine

A stand-alone head cutting unit for fish in the size range 1.5 kg to 8 Kgs. Each fish is individually located to ensure optimum position irrespective of size. A vee cut configuration ensures capture of the meat at the top of the head above the gill plate. The HV-40 now features the ability to move the blade intersection point relative to the size of the fish. This allows for the intersection point of the blades to line up with the backbone of the fish no matter the size of the fish. Having the blade intersection in the right place is critical to ensure a high yield across a large size range.

CB-30 Collar-on Head Cutting Machine

A Stand alone head cutting unit for fish in the size range 2 to 3 Kgs. Each fish is individually located to ensure optimum position irrespective of size. The head is then removed in front of the collar bone.

EVISCERATION/GUTTING

SGA-22 Head off Gutting Machine

The Pisces SGA-22 produces a clean gutted fish from a head off fish. The SGA can process fish from 2kg to 7 kg. The SGA removes the viscera in one solid piece with out damaging the viscera or any roe in the fish. The machine also cleans and removes the blood line/kidney from the fish.

SGA-32 Head-on Head Cutting Machine

The Pisces SGA-32 has been used to produced head-on gill in fish. The SGA can process fish from 2kg to 7 kg. The SGA removes the viscera in one solid piece with out damaging the viscera or any roe in the fish. The machine also cleans and removes the blood line/kidney from the fish.

SPLITTING

FS-8000 Splitting Machine

The FS-8000 removes the backbone from a headed and gutted fish. The machine use Pisces extremely efficient six blade system to remove the backbone. The machine runs at up to 25 fish per minute with one operator. The machine can split up to 11 kg salmon.

FILLETING

FR-9000 MK IV Filleting machine

The FR-9000 produce a rib and backbone free fillet from a headed dressed fish. The machine use Pisces extremely efficient six blade system to remove the backbone. Then the ribs are removed by a PLC controlled system. The PLC allow for easy change over from different sizes and trim levels. The machine runs at up to 25 fish per minute with one operator. The machine can fillet Salmon from 1.5 kg to 9 kg. The servo blade adjustment option allows for the dorsal blades to be adjusted by the PLC.

FILLETING SYSTEMS

AHF-492 Head-on Gutted Fish Filleting System

The AHF-492 allow for head-on gutted fish to be processed into fillets with one operator. The AHF combines the HV-40 and the FR-9000 into one continues system by adding a transfer system.

AHF-592 Whole Fish Filleting System

The AHF-592 allow for round fish to be processed into fillets with one operator. The AHF combines the functions of the HV-40, SGA and FR-9000 into one machine. This is done by adding a transfer system which contains the gutting apparatus from the SGA. The AHF-592 eliminates the costly gutting process.

ELECTRONIC WEIGHT GRADING

Pisces produces in-motion weigh units to weight either whole fish or fillets. A reception grader at the front of the plant can provide production and reception data while increasing the production yield by ensuring the fish go to the correct processing line. The graders can also sort and pack both fillets and whole fish. For the grading of gutted or whole salmon a manual inspection and feed station can be added to the grader.

PINBONING

Pisces offers the Unifood Range of machines for pin bone removal. The UFT-400 line offers standard pinbone removers and NK model machines which remove the bones at the start of the fillet. Depending on production volume the machines a can be configures as single, double or four lane models.

SKINNING

Pisces offers the Varlet V1558 adjustable automatic deep skinning machines for Salmon. The Varlet 3568 deep skins the Salmon and allows for the skin to be separated from the meat layer. This allow for both the skin and meat to be used in further processes.
