Pisces Fish Machinery is one of the leading manufactures Tilapia processing equipment. Pisces has been manufacturing Tilapia processing since 1987. Pisces provides a complete line to produce fillets and gutted fish. The Pisces line takes whole live fish and produces a finished graded product. The Pisces production line has been developed over the year by continues input from our customer. The Pisces production line uses numerous specialty designed pieces of equipment. Pisces production lines and equipment are in production trough out the world.

Specialty Tilapia Equipment

Pisces has designed several pieces of equipment for Tilapia processing. A complete live fish reception area is available. This part of the line includes weighing equipment, chilling tanks and the necessary tanks and table to properly bleed the fish. In locations with inexpensive labor a filleting and trim table have been designed to provide maximum efficiency. Fillet chillers and washers have been designed to ensure the fish is keep at the optimal temperature to ensure the freshest product. Pisces has also designed a packing system with electronic grading to ensure the fish is packed to market specifications.

SCALE REMOVAL

DS Series Drum Scales

The DS series drum scalers by gently tumbling the fish in a rotary drum. All of the machines time the process to ensure that the fish remain undamaged. The machine range in automation from the stand-alone DS-150 or DS-300 to the PLC controlled DS-400 and DS-500. The DS-400 and DS-500 can be incorporated in to automatic feeding systems which greatly increase their through put. For larger production Pisces has designed an automated delivery and loading system for multiple drum scalers. These systems are currently in productions producing over 100 tons of scaled fish a day.

SINGLE FILLETS

FR 75

The Fr-75 can be used effectively on Tilapia up to 600g. In order for this machine to work. The fish must be run through the HV-25 and the DC-18.

Once the fish has been prepared the FR-75 can then produce split fillets. The yield from the FR-75 drops off after 600g.

FR-200

A stand-alone filleting machine for head off fish in the size range 500 grams to 1 Kgs. The FR 200 incorporates a gutting system and operates at speeds up to 40 fish per minute. Often used in conjunction with the HV 25 Head cutting machine.

FR-3500

A stand-alone filleting machine for head off Tilapia for fish larger than 600 grams. FR-3500 incorporates an eviscerating system in the machine. The FR-3500 uses Pisces 6 blade backbone removal system and PLC controlled rib removal. This provides higher yields on a Tilapia larger than 600 grams.

HEAD CUTTING

VHV-45

A stand-alone head cutting unit for fish in the size range 500 grams to 3 Kgs. Each fish is individually located to ensure optimum position irrespective of size. A vee cut configuration ensures capture of the meat at the top of the head above the gill plate. Often used to prepare fish for the FR 200 filleting. Can be supplied with vacuum evisceration for enhanced Hygienic operation

HV 25

A stand-alone head cutting unit for fish in the size range 500 grams to 3 Kgs. Each fish is individually located to ensure optimum position irrespective of size. A vee cut configuration ensures capture of the meat at the top of the head above the gill plate. The Tilapia version of the HV-25 is fitted with a vacuum to remove all the loose viscera from the fish. This ensure the cleanliness of the whole production line.

New! HV-30

The HV-30 combines the gill location method with the ability to move the intersection point of the head cutting blades relative to the size of the fish. This allows for the intersection point of the blades to line up with the backbone of the fish no matter the size of the fish. Having the blade intersection in the right place is critical to ensure a high yield across a large size range.

FILLETING SYSTEMS

AVF-423

An automatic single operator system to produce fillets free of backbone and ribs from the whole fish in the size range 600g to 3.5kg depending on species. Compromising VHV-45 vertical “V” head cutting machine with an auto-transfer unit feeding into FR-3500 eviscerating/filleting machine. Operator speeds up to 30 fish per minute depending on fish size.

Gutting Line

DC-18

This stand alone eviscerating machine removes all off the viscera and blood line from a head off fish. The machine also prepares the fish for the FR-75. This machine does not offer any roe saving.

Semi-Automatic Head on Gutting Line

Using Pisces BC-11 Belly opening machine in conjunction with manual vacuum gutting table, the line can produce head-on gutted fish from both Sea Bass or Bream over a large size ran with minimal adjustment.

ELECTRONIC WEIGHT GRADING

Pisces produces in-motion weigh units to weight either whole fish or fillets. A reception grader at the front of the plant can provide production and reception data while increasing the production yield by ensuring the fish go to the correct processing line. The graders can also sort and pack both fillets and whole fish.

SKINNING

Varlet 1558

Pisces offers the Varlet V1558 adjustable automatic deep skinning machines for Tilapia.

Varlet 3568

The Varlet 3568 deep skins the Tilapia and allows for the skin to be separated from the meat layer. This allow for both the skin and meat to be used in further processes.
